I'm Benjamin J. Young, a watercolor artist based in the United States. My work is rooted in the stories we carry: the quiet walks we didn't know were the last, the threshold of coming home, the way light falls on something ordinary and makes it sacred. Each piece in my collection is named for a moment exactly like that — One Last Walk With Izzy, Coming Home — because the title isn't just a label, it's an invitation to remember your own version of that story.

My Process

I work primarily in watercolor — a medium that rewards honesty. You can't fully force it. Watercolor breathes and moves on its own, and the best paintings happen when I listen to it as much as I guide it. Each original is painted by hand, layer by layer, built up in glazes of transparent pigment until the light and shadow feel alive.

For collectors who want to live with the work without the investment of an original, I offer museum-quality giclée prints and canvas reproductions. These are produced using archival inks on premium substrates, faithfully capturing the color, texture, and luminosity of the original. Every reproduction is something I'm proud to put my name on.
